The tulip fields are less than a mile away from our Lake Mayfield vacation rental.  A visit there is a spectacular sight to behold and makes for a great photo opp for our guests.

May 24-27 Packwood Flea Market
Downtown PackwoodThis bi-annual event turns the town of Packwood into a huge flea market, one of the largest in the Western US. Hundreds of vendors sell antiques, novelties, clothing, and all kinds of household and decorative items. Tools, toys, and extraordinary finds abound! Come join the fun!
July 12 & 13 OnStage Children’s Theatre Performance at the Roxy TheaterKids ages 6 to 18 act, dance, sing, design, build, paint, and eat lunches during this intensive education program that culminates in two public performances.  July 12, at 7 p.m. &  July 13 at 2 p.m.  Tickets:  $8
July 20-21 Nile Valley Community Days
This fun family weekend is packed with activities!  Held annually at Sprick Park in Nile each July, enjoy everything from horseshoe tournaments and egg-tosses to rescue demonstrations and amateur wood events.  Vendors will offer hand-crafted items, food booths and displays.  A $1.00 donation is taken at the gate, but is donation only.  Come join us and experience the charm of this community festival.
August 3 Mossryrock Blueberry Festival
Downtown MossyrockLife is a bit more relaxed here in Mossyrock, and we hope you will take a day to slow down and enjoy our small town flavor. We have a fun day for all ages planned for you. There is free music on the lawn in the middle of town, a genuine home town parade, pie eating contest, quilt show, a great old car show, and more! Don’t miss our public market, a regular Saturday event! From the Main Street Parades to the Lawnmower Races, the world famous Logging shows to the Jubilee Queen Coronation, Morton’s Loggers’ Jubilee promises a good time for all.
August 25 Free Entrance Days in Mt. Rainier National ParkCelebrate the National Park Service’s birthday at Mt. Rainier National Park!  No entrance fees!  Entrance fees to Mt. Rainier National Park are waived on these days in 2013: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Jan 21), National Park Week (April 22-26), National Park Service Birthday (Aug 25), Public Lands Day (Sept 28) and Veterans Day weekend (Nov 9-11). September 6-8 Sportsman’s Days Join us for the annual Sportsman’s Days in Naches — one of the longest running community events in the Yakima Valley. The event features free entertainment throughout the weekend along with a midway, rides, food booths, game booths, flea market, silent auction, button drawings, free shows and much more!
September 13-15 Chinook Fest
Jim Sprick Community Park, Hwy 410It’s all about the music at Chinook Fest!  Along with art displays, food vendors and camping, listen to over 30 of the finest Roots-Rock, Blues, Americana, and Folk artists around.  This year the festival has expanded to two days and will be held at Jim Sprick Community Park, a rustic retreat on the banks of the Naches River, nestled in the scenic Central Washington Cascades.  Note that Friday and Saturday are for ages 21+.  All ages welcome on Sunday – family friendly!
